The Saratoga sunglasses are back and better than ever, still made in America using the finest global components. Most famously worn by John F. Kennedy, reviving the Saratoga from the original AO archival designs required great care and careful updates for modern ergonomics and fit. AOLite nylon lenses offer long-wearing comfort, featuring a backside, anti-reflective coating to reduce glare, as well as an oleophobic coating to minimize smudges. Seven-barrel hinges provide extra stability.

Sturdy pair for work and travel
By far my favorite pair of sunglasses I own. I’m an airline pilot and travel with these during work trips. They’re very comfortable to wear for hours with the sun streaming in the flight deck windows, and the thick ear stems allow me to clip my headset to them without scuff marks. The build quality is great, as I’ve dropped these numerous Times on the jet. On layovers they look fantastic. I just wish I had more than one frame color! I’ll definitely be returning to AO for my next pair.

I could not pass up purchasing a pair of President Kennedy's stylin' sunnies. I called American Optical about some questions and they gladly assisted me! It pleased me to be able to converse with a real person and be able to joke with them too. The presentation and packaging was great, and when the moment of truth came to wear them. . . I was convinced that "Hail to the Chief" was striked up and an American flag was waving behind me. I felt like a million bucks wearing them! Since I started wearing them, I receive a lot of compliments and people ask what brand I am wearing. I love them, and what is also impressive is that they are made in the USA! American Optical is the only way for me!

Great Sunglasses

First pair, another perhaps. . . ?
Great pair shades! Better than expected. Color and fit are on point. The build quality of these sunglasses prove why the company has been around for 100+ years. Only thing I can see people complaining about is the sizing. I like a tight fitting pair of glasses, don't like the nose slippage, but I can understand if you get a medium and are disappointed when they are tight around the temple I was surprised but again I like a tighter fitting pair of glasses.
